About Leslie and why she created Kindness Canine & Feline Massage
I've been an educator, family services worker, farmer, importer/shopkeeper...all were fun but none the right fit. As a life long animal lover and advocate I have always longed to combine my passion for being of service to my community, love for animals and my entrepreneurial spirit.
All this time three little beings were in my life who exemplified the benefits of massage for our non human friends. First, Romero and Rodrigo, two "rescue" pups we had the joy of sharing our lives with from pups to when old age began to take their mobility and vigor. Massage increased their mobility and improved their joint flexibility. Then Roxy, whose anxiety and fear can almost debilitate her. Massage has helped decrease her blood pressure and helped relieve her restlessness.
"He could tell by the way animals walked that they were keeping time to some kind of music. Maybe it was the song in their own hearts that they walked to." ― Laura Adams Armer
Professional massage dedicated to the whole health of small animals.
After much reflection through volunteerism at non profits such as The Pixie Project, Burrito Brigade, Green Acres Farm Sanctuary, Oregon Transport and PAWS, I completed the small animal massage program through the Northwest School of Animal Massage. In addition to being a certified small animal massage therapist (SAMT) I am also a member of multiple professional organizations and am currently enrolled in continuing education.
